Job SAVe System Job Specification Accuracy Verification System Job SAVe system stops printing production mistakes, even when the specs are typed into the computer incorrectly! Only PowerQuote features Job Specification Accuracy Verification (SAVe) which provides multiple checks on the accuracy of the job specifications entered into the computer. These checks insure jobs are printed with the correct ink, paper, size etc. When you type the specs into the computer, a summary screen lets you check the charges (and production times) for each department. These specs are made into a written quote for your customer. He or she can easily see if these are the correct specs. After customer approval, a job jacket is printed on the same form you used to write the job specs on, when the customer originally described the job to you. By having your original notes and the computer generated job jacket on the same form, a comparison check can be made. Experienced printers know how "stupid" mistakes can happen and that a system that SAVe's a job, is extremely valuable. You may also choose PowerQuote's more conventional stand-alone job jacket system. When the customer approves the estimate, the estimate becomes a job by printing the job jacket. The job jacket gives instructions to each department on how to produce the job. Plain instructions, departmental layout, and job SAVe features put the PowerQuote job jacket above the others! Estimated production times are also listed. When entering specs, data is checked to see if it is in range. For example, the difficulty factor field will not accept a number higher than 5 since no press job should take nearly 5 times longer than "normal" Once a price has been calculated, without re-typing the information is automatically transferred to various reports like paper order, written quote, and job jacket. Each report provides another check for accuracy. Each data entry screen asks for your "OK" before data is registered to eliminate accidental changes. In addition the calculation summary screen shows a breakdown of the charges for each operation. |
